About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Systems Engineer to join our Network Collections team. This role will use their deep system-level knowledge and experience to build and deliver a high-performance, minimal footprint network sensor to ingest and process Operational Technology (OT)/ Industrial Control System (ICS) network traffic. You will assist the team with the design, configuration, build, and deployment process for a reliable, efficient, and maintainable network sensor application for OT environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lightweight and efficient workflows to build artifacts, manage dependencies, and deliver highly effective and reliable products
- Collaborate with other development teams to ensure cohesive and intelligent solutions across the Systems Engineering community and organization at large, adhering to industry best practices and Dragos Engineering standards
- Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems development life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Validation, Delivery, and Support
- Support production deployments and incident response when necessary
- Formulate plans and guide the development and implementation of engineering solution(s), including deployment, resource requirements, testing, documentation, integration, and compliance
- Ensures the maintainability and post-deployment stability of the team’s product
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices within your domain
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in system design, build, and integration.
- Extensive experience in Linux packaging and package managers, as well as compiling and packaging code from source.
- Strong experience with configuration management tools and concepts
- Experience with artifact management (i.e., Artifactory) and industry standard tooling for both general purposes and language-specific package formats (Linux package management, cargo, go build, npm, maven/gradle, etc.)
- Experience with industry standard CICD tooling (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Experience with container orchestration (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Makefile)
- Experience working with modern programming languages (Rust preferred)
- Proficient understanding of networking concepts
Compensation:
- Salary: $165,000
