ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Supply Planner at Biofire, you’ll play a critical role ensuring that our Supply Chain is positioned for long-term success - where winning means we have the right plans, Suppliers and material readiness to meet scaling production and evolving New Product Introduction (NPI) requirements.
You will own the operational planning needed to ensure material availability across the entire Product Development lifecycle - from Prototype builds to Volume Production. You will partner closely with Product Engineering, Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Management (GSSM), Production, Quality, and Finance to track Clear to Build (CTB) status, align on BOM readiness, and de-risk supply constraints to meet production timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
For the mechanical fabircated parts category, day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:
Forecast and manage supply plans across the Biofire’s Bill of Materials (BOM) in alignment with published Demand and Production Plans;
Own the Procure to Pay Process: Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are structured to differentiate and convey firmed and forecast quantities, that firm/forecast quantities are communicated to Suppliers;
Identify Excess and Obsolescence (E & O) and other material risks, recommend mitigations to leadership, and own the efforts to mitigate liability to the business;
Develop roadmaps for the phase‐out of obsolete parts and phase-in of new parts;
Build scalable planning tools, dashboards, and workflows that improve cross-functional visibility and reporting;
Partner with the Production and GSSMs to develop CTB models that incorporate specific supply chain and part details to project availability in support of Biofire’s production goals;
Lead and maintain Clear to Build (CTB) tracking, leading weekly executive-level reviews to highlight material supply and constraints, Supplier readiness and risk mitigations;
Own Supply Planning, inventory policy, and allocation strategies across all demand streams, ensuring inputs are secured and priorities are aligned to program needs;
Serve as connective tissue across Engineering, Finance, Production, Quality and Supply Chain, guiding critical decisions around BOM readiness, launch timelines, and material availability;
QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or operational field (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering). An MBA, Master’s in Supply Chain or APICS CPIM Certification is a plus;
3-5 years of experience in production planning, supply planning, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management. Practical experience in functions such as military, consulting, or finance operations will also be considered;
An understanding of product lifecycles, BOM development, and how upstream planning impacts downstream execution;
Ability to rapidly synthesize constantly evolving data from multiple different sources and form an conclusion about the greatest impacts to material readiness;
Ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders;
Self-starter mindset - excited to build from scratch, lead without authority, and deliver results that unlock program execution;

The compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 /annual salary + stock options + benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
LOCATION
Primarily on-site: This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.
