As a Senior Strategist, Commerce Operations you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies around all aspects of a client’s Amazon business, focused around three functional pillars of Best-in-class brand presence, Operational excellence, and Retail relationship management. This could include driving success through things like promotions, product selection, fulfillment efficiencies, vendor negotiations, merchandising, brand positioning, and channel management. In essence, the Strategist, Commerce Operations will act as the commerce operations manager for their client(s) as it relates to their marketplace channel business (Amazon, Walmart, etc). This is a highly dynamic role that requires the ability to analyze and extract insights from data in addition to having the ability to effectively influence our clients and other stakeholders with those insights. 

A Senior Strategist, Commerce Operations will strive to be an expert on the ecommerce industry, contributing not just to their client’s success but across the service line by being a thought leader helping shape Tinuiti’s POV on Commerce Operations. The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment will be instrumental to the success of this role. The Senior Strategist, Commerce Operations will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to develop sustainable and profitable growth strategies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and/or support relationships with key clients and decision-makers, including C-Level teams 
  • Manage and grow relationships with all relevant Amazon partners 
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow our client’s marketplaces business, including partnering with relevant internal teams such as, Marketplace Advertising, Paid Search, Streaming +, etc. 
  • Use expertise to solve highly complex problems and/or lead major departmental and/or cross-functional projects
  • Develop, communicate, and oversee a comprehensive marketplace strategy with a clear understanding of all inputs that impact performance, including but not limited to: demand forecasting; catalog management; content analysis/optimization; operational efficiency; advertising; channel management; and business reporting / retail analytics.
  • Effectively report on and communicate insights to all relevant stakeholders on the client team
  • Partner with leadership of other Tinuiti Teams to develop a comprehensive commerce strategy for Tinuiti’s Marketplace clients
  • Regularly communicate any and all updates relevant to the Marketplace Operations line of business, as well as their impact on client and/or agency strategy
  • Inspire, recognize, coach, and lead teammates on a day-to-day basis and be a champion of Tinuiti’s culture
  • Develop personal and business goals that tie back to division and company goals
  • Contribute to your broader team by sharing learnings, pain points, and processes that can help develop your team or Tinuiti as a whole
  • Be hands-on and resourceful when needed and support the Team in consistently meeting deliverables and deadlines
  • Actively coach, mentor, and delegate tasks and responsibilities to junior members on joint accounts where you see serve as lead with successful execution  

Requirements:

  • A clear understanding of retail and marketplace platforms and functions on Amazon; experience with Vendor and/or Seller Central
  • Advanced in Excel/Sheets (pivots, lookups), PowerPoint or Google Slides
  • A minimum of 4-5 years experience in e-commerce or Amazon experience
  • Experience operating on Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central
  • Previous account management experience, preferred.
  • Comfortable with large and complex data sets, fluent in retail math calculations
  • Reliable, takes initiative and finds ways to solve problems independently, has a curious mind
  • Ability to manage numerous client/brand needs and strategies
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role

FLSA Classification: Exempt 

The hiring salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000. We also offer an incentive pay program (RevShare) comprising a monthly variable revenue payment opportunity and a discretionary annual performance bonus. 

Hiring salaries are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, parity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits, incentive pay, and equity upon request. Disclosure as required by the Colorado Equal Pay for > Equal Work Act, C.R.S. § 8-5-101 et seq.
