ITTConnect is seeking an  Senior Storage Engineer L3 to work remotely for a client in the US.

Job location: Remote, work from home, anywhere in LATAM.

The Senior Storage Engineer is a hands-on engineering role in our Managed Services team. You will own the health, performance, and capacity of the storage platforms and fabrics beneath our clients' workloads: array administration and firmware lifecycle, performance analysis, replication and migration execution, and acting as technical lead when a storage incident is live. You will work alongside virtualization, data protection, and network engineers, supported by a global network operations center that handles first-line monitoring and triage.

Our storage estate is Dell: PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, and PowerVault. We do not expect you to have run all four, but we do expect real depth in at least one, and we will train and certify you on the others.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and tune Dell PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, and PowerVault platforms across multiple client environments, owning configuration baselines, capacity, and platform health.
  • Diagnose and resolve storage performance problems using array and host-level data such as IOPS, throughput, latency, queue depth, and controller utilization, and drive them to root cause.
  • Manage the storage network, including Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI or NVMe-oF configuration, multipathing, and the VLAN and MTU work that storage connectivity depends on.
  • Own array lifecycle including firmware and OS upgrades, controller and drive replacements, and Dell support cases through to closure.
  • Plan and execute storage migrations and array-based replication with minimal disruption to workloads.
  • Serve as technical lead during storage-impacting incidents, coordinating with clients, internal teams, and vendor support.
  • Review capacity, performance, and health reporting and act on risks before they affect clients.
  • Automate recurring work such as provisioning, reporting, and health checks using scripting and array APIs.
  • Write formal root cause analyses, execute changes through structured change management, and maintain documentation of baselines, zoning, and capacity decisions.
  • Give client stakeholders clear status reporting and practical capacity and best-practice guidance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and work with virtualization, data protection, and network teams so storage fits the wider environment rather than sitting beside it.



Requirements
  • 12+ years in infrastructure engineering with at least 3 years focused on VDI or end-user computing platforms, in roles where you owned the platforms rather than only supported users on them. 
  • MUST BE fluent in English
  • Hands-on ownership of at least one Dell platform at depth: PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, or PowerVault, including provisioning, upgrades, performance tuning, and support case management.
  • Working knowledge of block, file, and object storage and of how storage behaves beneath VMware vSphere and Windows or Linux hosts.
  • Hands-on experience with storage networking across Fibre Channel and IP-based protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB, NVMe over TCP), including multipathing.
  • Experience planning and executing storage migrations and configuring array-based replication.
  • Automation ability using AI tooling, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or an equivalent), and direct work against array APIs.
  • Experience writing formal root cause analyses and working inside a structured change management process.
  • Clear client-facing communication and the ability to work independently across many client environments at once without losing track of any of them.
  • Prior MSP or other multi-client experience, ideally supporting several customer environments at once.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Dell Technologies certifications on PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, or PowerVault, or a comparable enterprise storage certification.
  • Experience with Dell data protection platforms such as PowerProtect Data Domain or with Veeam, and with Dell VxRail.
  • Experience with another enterprise array vendor and with environments governed by compliance standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, or TPN.
