Job Description

Role - Senior SAP ABAP Developer
Location - Remote USA
Employment type - Full-time

Job Overview: 
Expectations (highlights): 

  • Candidate should have 6-10+ years of experience. 
  • Developer will implement application enhancements and projects as assigned to him/her. 
  • He/she will work in an agile environment or in a project organization where in these projects and application enhancements are implemented as user stories. 
  • Developer will complete deliverables as a team member of agile or project team in collaboration with other functional and technical consultants, IT customers and management team. 
  • Individual contractors ensure quality outputs, and timely delivery. 
  • He/she will also work on a M&A project as assigned and follow the IT Project methodology and tools delivering the assigned project tasks in timely manner. 
  • He/she will mainly work on ECC HANA environment working with cloud technologies. Projects or enhancements could be from any SAP module area and for integrating non-SAP applications to ECC HANA environment. 
  • Developer must follow all compliance and security guidelines as applicable. 
  • He/she may sub-lead delivery in own technical area per guidance. 
  • Identifies and understand business goals, objectives and needs of the business environment to be used as basis for his/her program development and delivery. 
  • Consults on technical and program aspect with internal customers in the optimization and harmonization of business processes per business needs as needed for technical feasibility checks. 
  • Performs functional process analysis to support programming requirements gathering and or optimization through IT solutions. 
  • Contributes and supports planning, budgeting, design of programs for an application solution for business needs and alignment of business processes and IT environment. 
  • Plans and develops programs in close alignment with architects and specifications for any ECC HANA modules, workflows, interfaces etc. or develops any or all WRICEF objects and facilitates testing. 
  • Advice functional leads and architects, in all IT demand or requirement clarification related issues. 
  • Writes test scripts and conducts unit and integration testing. 
  • Test data preparation is integral part of this task. Together with functional lead may coordinate relevant user acceptance and integration tests. Designs and documents new ABAP, Mendix or other cloud objects, for IT applications. 
  • Supports change-release processes and implementation of IT security guidelines and implementation of programming guidelines. 
  • Typically reports to an IT Chapter Lead for all HR related topics and to the agile team service owner or project manager for development or programming topics per assignment. 
  • Developer is expected to adopt existing concepts, methodologies, etc. and continually learn and implement new ideas to create and open new ways of approaching and fulfilling specific internal and external client requests or project requirements. 
  • Should be comfortable working on projects assigned or in an agile team or on individual change requests as assigned by chapter lead. 
  • Follows security and compliance guidelines and reports and answers any audit relevant questions pertinent to the implementation work. 
  • Takes end to end responsibility from requirements gathering, implementation planning to deliver, document or implements quality solutions that adds value to customer. 
  • Provides a proper post implementation support per client guidelines. 
  • Ensures documentation and handover of changes or enhancement to application support team. 
  • Collaborates with the colleagues from other functional or technical area or specialty with the scrum or project team. 
  • If need, be also a lead in coordinating delivery of the development team or technical area.

Qualifications

Must have Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of Experience in SAP.
  • SAP ABAP development (Strong)

Good To Have Skills: 

  • SAP ECC (Capable), SAP HANA Development (Capable).
