The Difference You Will Make:

As a Senior Sourcer specializing in AI/ML, you will play a pivotal role in our most mission-critical hiring efforts by identifying and engaging top-tier AI/ML talent. This is not a generalist sourcing role, deep domain knowledge, prior experience sourcing for AI/ML engineers and researchers, and an understanding of what makes a high-caliber candidate in this space are essential.
Your ability to source, assess, and excite candidates within a highly competitive talent market will be instrumental to the company’s success. You'll have a direct impact on shaping the future of AI/ML at Airbnb.

A Typical Day: 

• Partner with the recruiting team to build a robust pipeline of specialized AI/ML talent through diverse sourcing channels.
• Collaborate closely with hiring teams and recruiters to develop and execute sourcing strategies tailored to AI/ML roles, from MLEs to Research Scientists.
• Engage and qualify candidates with domain-specific experience and assist them throughout the recruitment process.
• Design and run campaigns that directly target AI/ML professionals—leveraging competitive intelligence, publications, conferences, GitHub and technical communities.
• Deeply understand our unique hiring needs and continuously improve sourcing processes to drive efficiency and quality.
• Conduct market and competitive research to stay ahead of talent trends in the AI/ML ecosystem.
• Maintain a meticulous pipeline, staying focused on high-impact candidates who meet our rigorous technical bar.
• Represent Airbnb’s brand with authenticity and credibility in the external tech community.
• Regularly analyze sourcing data and metrics to inform the broader hiring strategy and ensure continuous improvement.

Your Expertise:

• 8+ years of technical sourcing experience, with recent and direct focus on AI/ML talent acquisition (this is a hard requirement).
• Demonstrated success building pipelines and hiring for roles such as Machine Learning Engineers, Research Scientists, Data Scientists with AI specialization, and AI Infra Engineers.
• A deep understanding of the skills, academic backgrounds, and career paths that define successful AI/ML candidates.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and influencing skills to engage highly sought-after talent.
• Strong interpersonal and consultative approach with proven ability to build trusted relationships across functions.
• Adept at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Hands-on experience with Greenhouse (ATS), GEM, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI-focused sourcing tools.
• High standards for execution and data hygiene, you take pride in operating with precision and care.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Airbnb,Inc. can employ in  states where we have registered entities. Currently, employees can not be located in: Alaska, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Delaware and Rhode Island.
