We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer / Senior Sales Engineer (SSE) with deep expertise in Wi‑Fi and subscriber experience networking to join our Experience Edge team.
This role focuses on Sales Opportunities and assisting the broader Calix team, while also engaging directly with Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to enable high‑quality wireless experiences across homes, small and medium businesses (SMB), and multi‑dwelling units (MDUs).
You’ll act as a trusted technical partner across sales motions and customer engagements—strengthening technical credibility, supporting competitive wins, and helping teams navigate complex networking challenges.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as a technical advisor across Sales Opportunities, the broader Calix team, and CSP customers
Support Sales Opportunities by shaping solution positioning, technical messaging, and deal strategy
Subject matter expert in positioning advanced premise solutions
Engage CSP technical teams to design, validate, and optimize 802.11 wireless networks
Apply strong knowledge of networking and in‑home gateway platforms
Support MDU deployments, including shared and managed Wi‑Fi models
Translate subscriber experience goals into scalable, supportable technical designs
Deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs
Support pre‑sales discovery, solution alignment, and RFP responses
Maintain awareness of competitive solutions and market tactics
Develop internal training, presentations, and sales enablement materials
Stay current on wireless standards and industry best practices
Qualifications:
BSEE/BSCS degree is desired and preferred.
Experience with Layer 1/2/3 network architectures and technologies
Solid understanding of SaaS cloud-based solutions and API integration.
Ability to convey complex concepts at multiple levels within an organization.
Experience with various Wi-Fi standards and managed Wi-Fi solutions.
Experience in the service provider industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal and soft skills.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Ability to work remotely and travel frequently within territory.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Industry certifications preferred but not required.
Travel:
Up to 60% in-territory.

This job supports local customers in the Southeastern US. Preferred locations are in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida near a major airport, but open to other locations in territory.
