Defy Security is a fast-growing cybersecurity company helping enterprises nationwide reduce complexity and make smarter security decisions. We bring deep technical expertise and a vendor-neutral approach to ensure our customers get the right solutions — every time. Our culture, certified as a Great Place to Work®, values teamwork, innovation, and people who take initiative. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to meet you.
Defy Security is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect who can serve as a strategic technical advisor to our enterprise customers and sales teams. This is not a back-office engineering role — it’s a high-impact, customer-facing position where you’ll help organizations transform their security posture, navigate architectural complexity, and drive meaningful business outcomes. You’ll partner directly with C-level leaders, shape security strategy, and architect solutions leveraging the industry’s most advanced technologies.
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader who thrives in consultative, enterprise environments. You understand how to translate business priorities into scalable security architectures, influence senior stakeholders, and guide customers through complex decisions across cloud, data, identity, and network security domains. If you’re a trusted advisor who can balance deep technical expertise with clear business alignment — we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll DoServe as the technical lead across strategic enterprise opportunities, collaborating with Account Executives to design and position end-to-end cybersecurity solutions.
Engage CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and senior technical leaders to assess requirements, map architectures, and guide decisions aligned to business outcomes.
Conduct discovery workshops, technical assessments, and architecture reviews across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
Develop solution designs, bills of materials, integration plans, and executive-ready technical presentations.
Lead technical strategy for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives including platform consolidation, modernization, and vendor rationalization.
Partner with OEM and channel engineering teams to validate designs, stay current with product roadmaps, and coordinate joint enablement.
Support Proofs of Concept (POCs), demos, and evaluations to validate solution fit and accelerate customer adoption.
Ensure smooth handoffs to delivery and services teams, maintaining architectural integrity from pre-sales to implementation.
Represent Defy with technical authority and executive presence during customer briefings, roadmap discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
A seasoned Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer with 7–12+ years supporting enterprise customers in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or cloud architecture (5+ for exceptional talent).
Deep expertise across multiple security domains (network, endpoint, cloud, identity, data protection, threat detection, etc.).
Experienced working with Global 2000 or Fortune 500 organizations and navigating complex technical and business landscapes.
Skilled at translating technical concepts into clear business value — ROI, TCO, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and resilience.
Strong at building credibility with both technical teams and executive leadership, including CISO/CIO-level stakeholders.
Adept at multi-threading across architecture, engineering, compliance, procurement, and executive teams.
Collaborative, low-ego, and energized by working in a fast-growth environment where initiative and ownership matter.
Expertise in multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security design patterns.
Hands-on experience with vendor consolidation, Zero Trust maturity programs, or enterprise-wide modernization efforts.
OEM certifications or deep specialization in major platforms (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Okta, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.).
Ability to analyze customer financials, board priorities, or public filings to align security strategy with broader business objectives.
You’ll partner with enterprise customers across highly regulated, high-stakes industries — including financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, and critical infrastructure — where cybersecurity is fundamental to business continuity, trust, and performance.
