The Partner Strategy and Business Development team in the Global Partner Organization, leads strategy, planning and business development for the partner business at Workday. We define and execute our strategy with leaders across the business; lead strategic partner relationships; and deliver sizable, net-new revenue growth with partners.

About the Role

We are building the next generation of Marketplace for Workday. As a Senior Solution Consultant, you will join a team of builders who are reimaging how a marketplace supports our Customers, Partners and Sellers. You will be responsible for diving deep in the technology and value proposition of our Partners to our Customers. You will work closely with Marketplace Leaders to define and execute the strategy for how we will articulate that value over the medium of a marketplace. You will help design the journey for discovery, recommendation and transaction for the Workday Marketplace, helping our customers find, try and buy the right Partner software and services, and efficiently transacting with those Partners. You will also help Partners author the right listings and content for the Marketplace, so they position their offering in the best way possible. You will use data and insights from the Marketplace to define this approach with Partners. Lastly, you will help design the Seller journey on the Marketplace, defining how Sellers find the right Partners for their markets, industries and Customers. 

The right person for this role will have had experience in Solution Consulting and Presales. They will have a strong technology background, and experience supporting either Sellers or Partners position technology and value to Customers. They will be an effective writer and communicator, articulating a “better together” story with Partners. They will have business acumen, understanding of enterprise software-as-a-service value, and domain expertise in Workday’s key industries. They will serve as a key partner to the Marketplace Leadership team and shape the strategy and go-to-market motions to make Marketplace a growth driver for Workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pioneer the Demo Strategy for the Marketplace: Define the strategy for Customers to find, try and buy Partner software. Design the approach to host partner content and demos on Workday's Marketplace, including a framework and standards for partners to compose their content.

  • Partner Enablement and Coaching: Enable partners to create and deliver compelling demos, providing a framework for business value methodology and pitching, with hands-on coaching for high-priority applications.

  • Internal Enablement: Enable Workday Solution Consultants to effectively position the total solution (Workday + Partners) to achieve customer outcomes.

  • Feedback Loop and Continuous Improvement: Capture feedback from sellers and customers and share it with the innovation team and partners to drive App improvement and identify whitespace opportunities.

  • Business Development & Ownership Mindset: Take ownership of unknown challenges and define new processes. Build a new function from the ground up, all with a focus on delivering tangible value outcomes.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software demonstrations, enablement methodologies, and the SaaS industry

  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering effective training and coaching programs

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and Workday core technology

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with partners at all levels

  • Project management skills and the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $120,800 USD - $181,200 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $114,800 USD - $203,900 USD

If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $120,800 - $181,200 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.
