The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions. 
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud technologies, software architecture, and business processes, enabling them to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance solutions that align with business goals.
  • Play a critical role in defining the technical vision, ensuring seamless system integration, and providing thought leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives.
  • Responsible for technical planning, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification and validation, and fielding. 
  • Evaluate alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. 
  • Perform systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance.  
  • Provide technical advice/input that impact strategic client outputs and Leidos business results. 
  • Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace.
  • Serve as a technical lead on large, complex projects. Mentors and coaches other technical staff.
  • Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end enterprise solutions, ensuring they meet business objectives, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
  • Develop high-level solution roadmaps and architecture diagrams that effectively communicate system components, data flows, and integration points.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to optimize solution effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and best practices to development teams during implementation.
  • Drive architectural reviews, ensure compliance with industry standards, and enforce governance processes.
  • Design cloud-native and hybrid solutions that leverage AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance by implementing best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Define infrastructure requirements, manage deployment strategies, and ensure the security of cloud-based applications.
  • Architect and manage API-led integration strategies, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Define standards for API design, security, and documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement middleware solutions to facilitate enterprise integration.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security best practices and comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Define and enforce security policies across applications, networks, and data layers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to incorporate into solution design.
  • Continuously evaluate existing solutions for optimization and recommend improvements where needed.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Master's with 15 to 20 years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 13 to 16 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Understanding of DoD IT security protocols and requirements
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms.
  • Experience with API design, RESTful services, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Favorable if you have:

  • Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
  • Experience in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks.

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
