Senior Solution Architect - Azure Data Analytics/Data Platform

Essential Duties

• Discuss best practices and strategies for modern data and analytics with clients 
• Integrate data sources to build models and reports for business users  
• Configure and operationalize cloud infrastructure in Azure  
• Speak intelligently to Microsoft’s cloud data strategy and roadmap  
• Stay current Microsoft technologies and modern data platform best practices 
• Provide mentoring and thought leadership to Data Analytics/Data Platform practice

• Data engineering experience in Azure and be familiar with modern data platform technologies like Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Warehouse, and Azure Data Factory.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering and modeling
• Ability to design an end-to-end data analytics solution architecture and drive its implementation
• Deep understanding of Agile engineering practices
• Data Warehousing
• Data ETL/ELT
• Data Modeling (Dimensional/Kimball)
• T-SQL
• Azure Data Factory (or strong SSIS experience)
• Azure Data Lake Store
• SQL Server/Azure SQL
• Azure Analysis Services or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) - Tabular
• Azure DevOps/Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery
