- Product whiz: A go-getter who digs into insurance product details, turns ambiguous requirements into clear user stories and leads the team to delivery
- Skilled technical engineer: You'll document and lead the implementation of technical features, improvements and innovations
- Collaborative partner: Working with our fellow engineers, solutions engineers and product owners, you'll tackle technical challenges and ensure quality as we progress to new technologies
- Forward thinker: Simply fixing the problem isn't enough; using your proactive mindset and initiative, you'll continually look for ways to improve performance, quality and efficiency
- A minimum of five years of software engineering experience
- Expert level Object Oriented Programming experience using Java, and development and integration with RESTful APIs
- Skilled in working with micro services and Spring Boot
- Experience writing business rules, decision modeling, and DMN
- Capable of developing automated tests across multiple scopes, including unit, system, integration, and regression testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD & DevOps tools like Github Actions and Git version control
- Collaborative and adaptable working style with ability to pair program
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts
- Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances
- Extensive understanding of working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum or Kanban
- Excellent negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building capabilities
