Role Summary: 

Iontra is involved in the development of important battery improvement and enabling technologies. This is a full-time, hands-on role in a startup environment. You will be involved in the design and development of upcoming products that will push Iontra forward.
This role is a hybrid position that requires the candidate to be located
geographically in the Denver Metro area. The candidate will be expected to come on-site as needed, otherwise working remote is allowed.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

Take on the role as an
individual contributor for the team,
providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment to solve complex problems.
 

Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of
Iontra’s suite of internal applications.
 

Work closely with the embedded software engineering and analytics team to capture requirements and propose new designs to improve speed and efficiency in Iontra’s internal software systems. 

Use automation to manage and update the configuration of Iontra on-site systems. 

Build solutions with security in mind at every stage. 

Communicate problems early to team members and offer solutions. 

Participate in the continuous improvement of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices within the organization. 
 

You’ll Need These Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience
    in Software Engineering.
     
  • Experience architecting/developing scalable applications using best practices. 
  • Strong experience building applications in either Golang or Python. 
  • Strong experience writing unit, integration, E2E tests and working with testing tools. 
  • Strong
    Linux
    background, with experience working in a Windows environment.
     
  • Some hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure or GCP.  
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines to build/test/deploy software. 
  • Experience using Git version control. 
  • Experience building and deploying containerized applications. 
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously, is a self-directed learner. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams and levels of the organization, including building relationships with our battery
    vendors.
     
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. 

  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Battery Testing/Validation experience via interfacing with commercial cycling platforms (Maccor, Neware, Arbin, etc) 
  • Knowledge around Smart Battery Standards (SMBus protocol) 
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Packer). 
  • Basic familiarity with deploying applications in Kubernetes environments. 
  • Experience in building applications for IoT devices is also desirable. 

 

Benefits and Compensation: 

Salary Range: $110k-$130k (salary is based on education, experience, skillset, and market value).
