Job Summary:
Greenstone is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can continuously contribute success to our Software Development team. The team develops and maintains a suite of mission critical commercial software applications used by agricultural businesses. The successful candidate will be an integral part of enhancing our products, in which they will be responsible for the design and implementation of solutions. Overall, the Engineer will work closely with Product Management, Customer Support, and Professional Service teams to continuously maintain and enhance our products.Greenstone delivers innovative, mission-critical solutions to North American agribusinesses. We retain a commanding share in the US grain origination software market, serving over 400 customers and 5,000+ ERP users throughout North America. Job Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design / Architecture 25%
- Design applications and services by evaluating user requirements, and analyzing existing and proposed systems
Coding / unit testing 50%
- Develop and enhance desktop app written in a C#
- Maintain and develop applications to access and record data from a database Server
Agile Team 25%
- Participate in weekly planning sessions that include development estimations and peer review
- Participate in daily scrum meetings
- Peer review of code and design.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience
- 7 Years of software engineering experience
- Professional programming experience in C# using Microsoft’s Visual Studio
- Minimum of 3 years of C# experience
- Minimum of 3 years of database experience, MS-SQL or Pervasive Zen
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodologies

- Self-Motivator with the ability to work independently and exemplify flexibility working in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task to liaise between quality assurance, product management, & customer support team to meet deadlines.

- Experience conducting agile sprint meetings
- Experience with Pervasive PSQL databases
- Experience in software architecture and design patterns
- Experience in the agricultural industry
- Experience with JIRA Issue and Project Tracking system
- Familiarity with WinForms
