We're partnering with a major financial institution to hire Senior Software Engineers who will contribute to the development and maintenance of business-critical data platforms. This role is ideal for a backend engineer with experience in both data engineering and software development.

As part of a high-impact team, you will work on scalable, data-driven applications and services that are essential to our client’s infrastructure.  This role is based in New York City or McLean, VA in a hybrid work environment.  Remote options may be available.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and data platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions
  • Develop cloud-native applications and support real-time data processing pipelines
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and best practices for DevOps and cloud environments
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with production-level Python, Java, or Golang
  • 3+ years of experience with React and NoSQL technologies in building scalable applications
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS (Compute, Storage, Database, Serverless, Data Processing)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Experience with serverless databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless)
Nice to Have:
  • Background in a hybrid Data & Software Engineering role
  • Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Kafka
  • Experience with GraphQL

Salary Range: $120,000 - $205,000 annually

  • This range reflects the base salary that we reasonably expect to pay for Specialist Consultants. Actual compensation may vary depending on relevant factors, including experience, skills, location, and client project.
