Who we are looking for
A Senior Software Engineer, who will be responsible for developing, maintaining and evolving our sports trading and tools applications and platform.
We are building our first technology team based in Denver, Colorado and are looking for talented technical experts to join our trading and tools, software development team.
The trading and tools teams build and own software that ingests and distributes the broadest, most accurate, real time sports fixture and trading related data to our customers internally and externally.
The teams technology stack is evolving and we want you to help us on the journey of delivering the next generation trading platform and products.
You will initially work on a Microsoft stack using .Net and SQL Server, developing and delivering changes to our current desktop applications and backend services. To enable you to deliver our next generation trading platform, you will be cross skilled in Golang, React and Google Cloud Platform technologies.
The day-to-day work is interesting and challenging amidst a hardworking and delivery focused Company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technology's greatest challenges. An interest and understanding of Football, Basketball, Hockey and/or Baseball would be beneficial.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $155,000 annually.
Preferred skills and experience
Extensive commercial C# experience.
Solid understanding of Windows applications and services.
Coaching and mentoring experience on technical subject areas.
Commercial exposure to Golang, React, Typescript and Google Cloud Platform.
Commercial MS SQL Server experience.
Exposure to WPF or willingness to learn.
Self-driven with ability to understand complex architecture.
Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality and scalable software solutions.
Self-motivation and delivery orientated in a fast paced environment with a flair for problem solving.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Main Responsibilities
Developing low latency, highly available and scalable solutions that process high volumes of data.
Creating work effort estimates.
Contributing to solution proposals as required.
Supporting and enhancing the existing code base and performing root cause analysis to create solutions to stop fault reoccurrence.
Enhancing and supporting existing trading functions, some of which are used 24/7.
Supporting Product Owners as required.
Mentoring and supporting less experienced development staff.
Providing support to the testing team during testing phases of projects.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to support team members professional development.
Identifying technical areas of improvement.
