We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Python and Django to join a high-performing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who has spent significant time building and maintaining production systems with Django and has a strong foundation in Python development.
We’re looking for engineers who can take ownership of complex backend systems, make sound technical decisions, and contribute to scalable, maintainable solutions. This is a senior-level position requiring extensive hands-on experience with both Python and Django.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django
- Develop and maintain robust APIs and backend services
- Design and optimize database solutions and data models
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments
- 7+ years of professional Python development experience
- 5+ years of hands-on Django development experience
- Strong understanding of backend architecture and web application development
- Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade applications
- Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, and software design principles
- Experience with automated testing and modern software development practices
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical projects
- Strong communication skills and English fluency (written and verbal)
The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
