The Platform team at Dandy is dedicated to building a world-class engineering organization. Our mission is to boost developer productivity and happiness by creating the tools, processes, and infrastructure that allow our engineers to ship high-quality software with speed and confidence. We're looking for a skilled engineer to help us remove friction from the development lifecycle and empower our teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Evolve our CI/CD platforms with a focus on infrastructure automation and security to provide faster, more reliable, and secure deployment pipelines.

  • Design, build, and maintain our core cloud infrastructure on our primary cloud provider (GCP).

  • Develop and manage our container orchestration platform (Kubernetes) to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of our cloud resources.

  • Autonomously lead well-defined, multi-month infrastructure projects ensuring the stability and performance of our production environments.

  • Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs, providing guidance and building solutions that support their services.

  • Champion and implement best practices for cloud security and system reliability across the organization.

  • Contribute to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying opportunities for high-impact improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated focus on backend, infrastructure, or SRE.

  • Deep, hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., BuildKite, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and how they relate to infrastructure deployment.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Go, Python, Bash).

  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Bonus Points

  • Experience building internal developer platforms or portals.

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana).
