About the role:We're looking for a Fullstack Engineer to architect and build the infrastructure that powers AI-driven video workflows at scale. You'll join a small, high-impact team and own the critical transition from prototype to production-ready platform.
In this role, you will:Design and implement scalable backend architecture using Next.js API routes and Node.js
Build robust video processing pipelines for ingestion, transcoding, and multi-format exports
Create background job systems for long-running video operations with proper queuing and error handling
Architecting data models and database schemas that support collaborative video editing at scale
Implementing authentication, authorization, and session management systems
Optimizing video storage and CDN delivery for thousands of concurrent users
5-7 years of experience building and scaling production web applications
Strong expertise in Node.js backend development and API design
Experience with database design, query optimization, and data modeling at scale
Track record of building asynchronous job processing systems and handling long-running operations
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and CDN configuration
Proven ability to architect systems that scale from hundreds to thousands of users
Deep experience with video processing (FFmpeg, transcoding, streaming protocols)
Background in AI/ML product development or computer vision applications
Experience with video editing workflows, media asset management, or creative tools
Familiarity with export formats (EDL, FCPXML) and professional video standards
Track record of migrating client-heavy applications to scalable server architectures
