Our engineering is where high-quality professional engineering meets individual impact.The Developer Relations Software Engineer supports the Developer Relations team on their mission to provide SailPoint’s developer community with the best developer experience in the Identity Governance industry. While Developer Relations is a public facing team within SailPoint, our Developer Relations Engineer work mostly behind the scenes to develop tooling to directly improve the external developer experience with SailPoint products & services.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Relations team, you will:

Execute on complex solutions and architectures for new developer tools and experiences.

Quickly implements proof of concepts that can be expanded upon to drive value to an enterprise client.

Drive the implementation of scalable, testable code bases.
-
Work with Developer Advocates to create and maintain SDKs for our products.
-
Manage deployment of libraries to native package managers, like PyPi, NPM, Maven, Nuget, etc.
-
Manage the development and deployment of our API standards toolchain. Develop and deploy rules for our API linter to match our API standards and rules.

Assist Developer Advocates with building sample applications and code snippets for various use cases that our developer community finds useful.

Automate the building and publishing of our Postman collection from our OpenAPI specifications.

Automate various workflows within the DevRel team as needs arise.
Skills and Qualifications:

Proven software development experience

Excellent communication skills

Advanced experience in coding with several languages

Advanced experience with an object-oriented programming concepts

Proven experience in driving velocity of engineering teams.

Strong understanding of, and experience with, REST and the OpenAPI standards

Experienced in both front-end and back-end technologies

Able to comfortably modify and deploy a variety of open source technologies

Experience deploying and managing AWS services

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$109,200 - $156,000 - $202,800
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
