Position Summary:
Designs, develops, and implements digital solutions and systems by applying advanced technical expertise to architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Adept at problem solving and decision making skills 
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork 
  • Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills 
  • Experience in Microservice and Serverless Architectures
  • Experience in open source frameworks
  • Experience in Agile practices

Skills & Experience We're Excited About:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability
  • Strong expertise in building server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
  • Hands-on experience with various relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and OpenSearch, with a strong understanding of data modeling and query optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban, with a track record of participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • A proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and contributing to team success
  • Experience with the Express framework for building RESTful APIs, including middleware implementation and routing
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services, particularly in relation to deploying and managing microservices - Especially on AWS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
