Senior Social Growth & Operations Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Social Growth & Operations Manager to help turn GAMURS Social Media division’s priorities into clear, executable projects and scalable growth initiatives.

Working closely with the VP of Social Media and teams across social publishing, brand development and video, this role will lead key cross-functional projects, ensure priorities move from idea to execution, and help grow GAMURS brands across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.

The ideal candidate combines strong social media judgement with practical project ownership. They will be comfortable moving between planning, coordination, content development, hands-on execution, performance analysis and building simple systems that allow successful ideas to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Turn broad priorities into clear project plans with owners, timelines, deliverables and success measures.

• Own selected initiatives from initial concept through launch, optimisation and handover.

• Coordinate work across social publishing, brand development, video and platform expansion.

• Maintain clear visibility across active projects, deadlines, blockers and next actions.

• Build simple workflows, documentation and reporting that improve consistency and accountability.

• Identify execution gaps early and reduce the amount of day-to-day project chasing required from the VP of Social Media.

• Develop and execute expansion plans for GAMURS brands across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.

• Identify which existing brands, audiences and content formats are best suited to each platform.

• Establish platform-native strategies rather than simply reposting the same content everywhere.

• Launch and grow new social accounts, brands and content formats from the ground up.

• Create repeatable systems for taking successful concepts from one platform or brand into others.

• Help define the positioning, audience, content pillars and recurring formats for new social brands.

• Work with the Head of Video to develop concepts, recurring formats, series and content franchises.

• Contribute directly to ideation, scripting, hooks, titles, thumbnails and overall content packaging.

• Translate ideas into clear, executable briefs for creators, editors and Social Media Managers.

• Create initial examples or prototypes that can later be handed over and scaled by the wider team.

• Review performance across platforms, brands, projects and content formats.

• Build structured testing plans and turn audience data into clear recommendations and next actions.

• Share useful learnings across the wider Social team and help improve underperforming projects or formats.

• Respond quickly to relevant trends, news and audience opportunities when hands-on execution is required.

• Provide clear updates on project progress, performance, risks, key learnings and next steps.

What Success Looks Like

• Priority projects have clear ownership, timelines and consistent follow-through.

• The division moves from ideas into execution more quickly and with less day-to-day chasing.

• Selected GAMURS brands are meaningfully established across additional social platforms.

• New accounts, formats or content series are launched with measurable audience growth.

• Successful tests are converted into repeatable systems that can be handed to the appropriate team.

• The video team has a stronger pipeline of platform-native concepts and executable ideas.

• The wider Social team benefits from clearer coordination, stronger processes and shared learnings.

Skills and Experience

• Significant experience growing organic audiences for social-first media brands.

• Strong experience across multiple platforms, ideally Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.

• A proven ability to turn loosely defined ideas into functioning projects and measurable outcomes.

• Strong project ownership and operational follow-through in a fast-moving environment.

• A proven ability to create content, not only manage people or develop strategies.

• Experience launching new social brands, accounts, platforms or content formats.

• Strong understanding of internet culture, entertainment, gaming, fandom and trend-driven publishing.

• Experience developing video concepts, scripts, hooks, titles, thumbnails or recurring formats.

• Strong creative judgement combined with an analytical understanding of performance.

• Ability to coordinate work across multiple teams, owners and functional areas.

• Experience using analytics and reporting tools to assess performance and inform decisions.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear plans, briefs and updates.

• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently within a remote team.

• Experience within a social-first media company or digital publisher is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of Facebook organic publishing and monetisation is highly desirable.
