About the Role:

The Threat Intelligence team protects Remitly by delivering actionable threat intelligence through thoughtful and reasoned analysis and application of expert domain knowledge. The scope for this role is across all of Remitly.

As a Staff Security Engineer - Threat Intelligence, you will build tooling/platforms and deploy analytic techniques to service the mission. You will inform internal and external stakeholders so that Remitly can better serve our customers.

You will report to the Director, Detection & Response. This role is considered as full remote but we can also support someone who desires in-office time in either Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA.

You Will:

  • Produce actionable threat intelligence reports and briefings for various stakeholders.
  • Own threat intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination processes.
  • Manage and optimize threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and related tools.
  • Automate threat intelligence workflows and processes using scripting languages (Python, etc.).
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of threat data from diverse sources (OSINT, commercial feeds, dark web, etc.).
  • Identify and track adversary TTPs, campaigns, and emerging threats.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience building and deploying threat intel platforms, tools, techniques
  • 5+ years producing and delivering intelligence reports for diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with adversary discovery and tracking
  • Experience working with TIPs (e.g., Synapse, Maltego, Analyst Notebook), and a detection-as-code mindset
  • A degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $200,000-$250,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
