About Toma

At Toma, we’re building something unorthodox—a fully AI-driven workforce for the $2T automotive space.

Our small team (from Scale AI/Uber, Braze, Columbia, Berkeley, and Waterloo) spent months living and breathing dealerships to learn the ropes.

We’ve built an in-house voice AI and agentic workflow orchestration platform, grown $100k ARR MoM purely through word-of-mouth, and raised capital from the best of the best investors in Silicon Valley on our way to create the world’s first “ghost dealerships.”

What You'll Do

As a Senior Sales Manager, you’ll own and operate a defined sales territory with the goal of acquiring new dealership customers and consulting existing dealers on new features.

You’ll work closely with an assigned BDR to generate pipeline and move deals through the funnel — from first outreach through contract. You will be the primary commercial face of Toma in your region, trusted to represent our brand, educate the market, and close business.

This is a quota-carrying role with clear revenue expectations. There’s no management layer under you — you will lead by example and be fully accountable for your territory’s performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with your BDR to source and qualify high-potential dealership prospects, self generated appointments is a requirement.

  • Minimum expectation of 20+ demos per month

  • Lead customer conversations, demos, and follow-ups with a consultative sales approach

  • Build and manage a robust, high-quality pipeline to ensure consistent coverage

  • Own your region’s sales number — drive it, track it, and hit it

  • Support deal strategy, pricing, objection handling, and competitive differentiation

  • Collaborate with product and marketing on local messaging, campaigns, and feedback loops

  • Maintain clean, accurate Hubspot CRM hygiene and sales documentation

  • Monitor activity performance data and use it to drive your day-to-day priorities

Who You Are
  • You have 5+ years of experience in SaaS or tech sales (automotive vendor or adjacent B2B a plus)

  • You’re used to owning a number and know how to build a territory from the ground up

  • You thrive in outbound sales and know how to find, pursue, and close new business

  • You’re confident in the sales process — discovery, solution selling, negotiation, and closing

  • You bring structure to your day, manage time well, and don’t wait for direction

  • You understand or are curious about AI and can clearly articulate how it solves real-world problems

  • You’re coachable, direct, and committed to doing excellent work in a fast-paced environment

  • You have used Hubspot, Slack and can navigate and learn a internal tech stack.

What Success Looks Like
  • You and your BDR consistently hit (or exceed) your monthly and quarterly quota

  • You maintain a healthy pipeline with consistent movement through each stage

  • You deliver accurate forecasts and hit your targets with discipline

  • You earn trust across the org — leadership sees you as someone who owns your patch

  • You close net-new logos and set a strong foundation for long-term dealer partnerships
