Senior Revenue Accountant 

Location: Denver, CO / Remote

Reports to: Controller / Finance Director

The Role

The Senior Revenue Accountant / Manager  is a key member of the Accounting & Finance team, responsible for the contract accounting and revenue close process in a high-growth healthcare technology environment. You will ensure that revenue for software subscriptions, implementation fees, and other services is recognized in strict accordance with ASC 606. This role requires a "systems-first" mindset, utilizing Sage Intacct to manage complex data.

What You’ll Do

  • Revenue Close: Own the monthly revenue close for SaaS subscriptions and professional services. Manage contracts module within Sage Intacct. Prepare complex journal entries, perform account reconciliations for deferred revenue and contract assets, and conduct flux analysis to explain revenue trends.
  • Contract Review & ASC 606: Review contracts to identify "performance obligations," perform allocations, track go lives / implementation, etc. Ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies. Identify and resolve discrepancies before they hit the general ledger.
  • Sage Intacct Power User: Act as the functional lead for the Sage Intacct Revenue Management/Contracts module
  • Billing Strategy & Execution: Lead the full billing lifecycle for SaaS subscriptions and Professional Services. Ensure all invoices are generated accurately and timely within Sage Intacct, reflecting complex contract terms, pricing, and milestone-based triggers.
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections: Proactively manage the AR aging report. Own the collections process by partnering with Customer Success to resolve delinquent accounts and identifying root causes for payment delays.
  • Compliance and internal controls: Maintain internal controls over the revenue cycle. Prepare audit-ready documentation and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during annual filings
  • Ad hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis for revenue as required

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CPA-candidate preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with a heavy focus on Revenue Accounting.
  • Industry: Direct experience in Healthcare SaaS, MedTech, or Health-IT. Familiarity with the nuances of healthcare billing cycles and regulatory environments is highly preferred.
  • Sage Intacct Mastery:
    Required hands-on experience with Sage Intacct (Revenue Management/Contracts modules).
  • Technical Toolkit: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Salesforce preferred
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to navigate large, complex datasets and translate them into clear financial flux analyses for leadership.
