C3 AI has an immediate opening for a Senior Revenue Accountant located onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, California.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual revenue close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting under U.S. GAAP.
- Review and reconcile contract assets, contract liabilities, receivables and related balances.
- Support audit requests with external auditors.
- Analyze customer contracts using the ASC 606 framework for revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX controls and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the highest documentation standards.
- Work closely with FP&A to provide inputs for revenue forecasts as needed.
- Generate regular and periodic reports and analyses to track key performance indicators related to new customer acquisitions, expansions, churn and contraction.
- Prepare detailed revenue packages for management, audit committee/Board as requested.
- Participate in special projects as and when they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field of study; CPA is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working in public and private accounting, Big 4 experience is preferred. Revenue recognition experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, SQL etc).
- Experience with high-growth companies, ideally in the Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) industry.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to deliver results and meet expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of general accounting concepts and ASC 606.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A data-driven mindset with a proactive approach.
- NetSuite experience, a plus.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance protocols.
