Role

We’re looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Revenue/AR team and play a key role in ensuring our billing, revenue recognition, and collections processes run smoothly across multiple entities. Reporting directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager, you’ll be hands-on with ASC 606 revenue recognition, AR operations, and deferred revenue schedules, while also supporting our broader accounting team on system implementations and cross-functional projects.

**This role is fully remote within the US**

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee core revenue processes in line with ASC 606, including revenue schedules, account reconciliations, and contract review.
  • Support Accounts Receivable operations: invoicing, data validation, collections, payment application, and customer communications.
  • Maintain deferred revenue schedules and prepare journal entries for month-end close.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure accurate contract setup and smooth customer onboarding.
  • Monitor AR aging, highlight risks, and suggest improvements to strengthen collections.
  • Support process alignment across entities (SmarterDX, Thoughtful AI, and Access) to ensure consistency in revenue and AR practices.
  • Assist with system and tool maintenance post-implementation for billing and revenue software.
  • Contribute to tax filings, audit support, and other compliance-related activities.
  • Provide month-end close support and ad hoc reporting for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Track new customers, go-lives, and churn to keep revenue reporting accurate and up to date.

What You Bring

  • Solid experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • 4-5+ years in Accounts Receivable expertise, including direct customer interaction by phone/email.
  • Hands-on experience with deferred revenue, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret customer contracts.
  • Comfortable partnering across teams (Sales, CS, Product, Engineering).
  • Strong Excel and data validation skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves.

  • Experience working in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance processes.
  • Prior experience with acquisitions/integration of new entities.

Compensation

$110k-$120k base + equity incentive
