The role will be remote and based in the US. Eastern time zone strongly preferred; open to candidates in other continental US time zones. We have offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee the B2B / D2C Order-to-Cash processes, encompassing order management, commissions calculations, billing, payment processing, receivables outreach, credit limit oversight, reconciliation, reporting and revenue recognition.
  • Assist with the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Consolidate and report financial information, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A,Tax, IT / Business Systems, Legal, Sales, and Supply Chain, to support business processes.
  • Independently review and dissect complex contracts.
  • Draft and maintain process documentation
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial reporting initiatives to accelerate the close process and enhance overall financial reporting.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of internal controls 
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators related to financial operations.
  • Prepare and own monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with external audit requirements.
  • Engage in ad-hoc projects and analysis as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on new challenges.
Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial
  • reporting.
  • Experience independently reviewing and dissecting complex contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of identifying inefficiencies and driving scalable, sustainable solutions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and a high degree of integrity.
  • Experience working cross-functionally is a plus
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software and Floqast is a plus
  • CPA certification is highly preferred.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1: ​​$112,000-$140,000
  • Region 2: $100,000-$125,000
  • Region 3: $94,000-$117,000
