We are looking for a Senior Release Engineer to join our team. You will own the design, evolution, and operation of Kaseware’s continuous integration and continuous delivery platform, primarily built on GitHub Actions, that delivers code to our Dev, QA and cloud environments. This is an architecture-leaning role: you will set the patterns, standards, and reusable components that the engineering organization builds against; integrate security and compliance tooling end-to-end into the pipeline; and partner with engineering, security, and operations teams to keep the path from commit to production fast, reliable, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design, build, and evolve Kaseware’s CI/CD architecture ,primarily on GitHub Actions across all delivery paths
- Author, maintain, and review GitHub Actions workflows, reusable workflows, composite actions, and self-hosted runner infrastructure
- Define and enforce build and release standards across the engineering organization
- Build and maintain Java build pipelines using Maven and Gradle; manage internal artifact distribution
- Integrate security and compliance tooling end-to-end into the pipeline and operationalize their findings through gating, triage, and reporting
- Implement and operate GitOps deployment patterns with ArgoCD across target environments
- Support the development and maintenance of Terraform code for the infrastructure that backs the build and delivery system (runners, registries, supporting services)
- Support FedRAMP High continuous monitoring and audit evidence requirements as they relate to the pipeline – build attestations, signed artifacts, change traceability, and access controls
- Partner with engineering, security, and platform teams to remove friction in the developer inner-loop while raising the security and compliance bar
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotations for the build and delivery platform
- Mentor engineers on CI/CD patterns and contribute new ideas, tools, and practices to the Kaseware technical stack
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles, with significant time spent on CI/CD architecture and automation
- Demonstrated ability to design CI/CD pipelines at the architecture level, reusable patterns, governance, and multi-team standards
- Deep, hands-on GitHub Actions experience: reusable workflows, composite actions, matrix builds, self-hosted runners, OIDC-based cloud authentication, secrets management, and pipeline optimization at scale
- Java build tooling expertise – Maven and Gradle – including multi-module projects, dependency management, and build optimization
- Production experience with ArgoCD and GitOps deployment patterns
- Strong experience integrating security and compliance tooling such as SCA, SAST and DAST toolling into pipelines including gating policies and triage workflows
- Cloud platform experience, especially Microsoft Azure (preferred); experience with AWS or GCP is also valuable
- Comprehensive understanding of Git, branching strategies, and the Git CLI; experience reviewing and standardizing repository workflows across teams
- Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar), particularly with respect to auditability of build and release processes is strongly preferred
