As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you will be based in Auburn, IN. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. This could also be a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Manager, you will manage a team of QA engineers within our Tempus Technologies organization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coaching, defining QA architecture, and challenging our engineering teams. Specific job responsibilities may include:
• Planning testing for new features coming out of development, both in-sprint testing as well as release testing
• Developing automation testing for existing features and functionality
• Defining software development requests to increase testability in critical code areas (i.e. logging, dependency evaluation, etc.)
• Defining testing personas for applications that have many user types
• Defining testing standards for the team to abide by
• Define success criteria for a production deployment
Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking individuals with a strong background in building technical Quality Assurance teams for software. Preferred candidates will have a strong technical background with an understanding of how software works at the technical level from the eyes of a developer or architect, have a focus on quality, and have the ability to build and manage a team. Candidates should also have experience with Microsoft Azure, windows based systems, mobile, as well as embedded systems (C/C++).

Job Description

• Oversees all QA activities and processes for a major or multiple software products or systems.
• Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Provides feedback and input for software development standards and practices.
• Leads implementation, control, and distribution of all Quality Assurance programs, practices, standards, methodologies, and metrics. Reviews results of major and final tests to determine if product specifications are met in line with requirements and standards.
• Oversees performance of managers and teams. Identifies and addresses staff training and development needs.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $80,000.00 – $179,400.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
