We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building backend systems, APIs, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems using Python. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions while mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Python applications.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Develop cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and designers.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
Experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
- Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Proficiency with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
