Join our pioneering team as a crucial contributor to the development and enhancement of 'Frustum', a tool integral to the architectural and integration design of wearable headsets (virtual and augmented reality devices). Designed to model the geometry of headset sensors and display, Frustum plays a vital role in optimizing system metrics and providing automated reports, serving as a core library for geometry components and simulation pipelines. Through collaboration and innovation, you will drive the efficiency and scalability of this versatile tool, which is interconnected with various critical simulation technologies and device databases.
Responsibilities- Manage the Frustum codebase to ensure high-quality standards and maintainability.
- Maintain and implement pipelines with existing and emerging simulation libraries for better integration.
- Maintain and implement comprehensive test suites to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Support and collaborate on frontend development utilizing React and JavaScript with internal component library.
- Enhance and streamline the Frustum Library and APIs for seamless integration with Python notebooks.
- Optimize system performance through parallelization and efficient processing strategies.
- Provide clear documentation and streamline common Frustum tasks to enhance user accessibility.
- Extremely proficient in Python programming with 8+ years of experience.
- Deep knowledge of Python scientific packages such as Numpy, Scipy, Matplotlib, Pandas.
- Extensive experience with large and complex codebases.
- Familiarity with complex codebase, infrastructure, and CI/CD processes including Buck.
- Experience in the domain of computer vision and geometry, particularly in handling 3D geometry, meshes, and point-clouds.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies: React, JavaScript, Thrift, Relay, and GraphQL.
- Experience with libraries for 3D data presentation such as three.js and plotly.js.
- Strong background in computer vision Python packages like OpenCV and Open3D.
