The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer to help design, build, and refine Plasma’s core protocol. You will be instrumental in advancing our consensus functionality, enhancing protocol security, and delivering high-performance features that meet the demands of a rapidly evolving blockchain landscape.
What You Will DoDesign and implement core protocol components in Rust, with an emphasis on performance, security, and reliability.
Investigate, prototype, and optimize consensus improvements and other distributed systems components.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices in cryptography, testing, and documentation.
Identify and resolve critical scalability, latency, and reliability challenges in a decentralized environment.
Contribute to open-source initiatives that strengthen the Plasma ecosystem.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering with a strong background in distributed systems or blockchain technology.
Proficiency in Rust and systems programming fundamentals.
Proven track record of delivering production-ready code for mission-critical applications.
Hands-on experience with consensus mechanisms, cryptography, or related areas of protocol engineering.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, low-process environment.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
Previous contributions to open-source projects in the blockchain or cryptography domains.
Familiarity with stablecoins, DeFi, or other crypto-focused use cases.
Experience with performance tuning, profiling, or stress-testing distributed networks.
