THIS IS WHERE you build trust to achieve results! 

The Sr Project Specialist role will focus on installation services for Baxter’s Connected Care solutionsThis role will partner with key internal stakeholders and external installation subcontractors to develop tools to leverage technology that improves process efficiency, leading to high customer satisfaction across the Baxter project portfolio.  

This role will travel to customer locations for proposal assessments, facility review, and consultation with site installation teams. These activities will support the solution design process while partnering with Sales through implementation

The Care Communications Digital Health Solutions is a product portfolio comprised of communications applications and solutions including mobile clinical communication solutions, medical device integration, alarm and alert management, waveform visualization and solutions for natural language processing.

Together these solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen patient engagement. Our portfolio is regularly expanding to include innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes. 

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Partner with both internal and external teams to ensure accurate installation scope is captured on complex projects ($1M - $10M).  

  • Create and lead nationwide 3rd party low-voltage installation pricing efforts, securing competitive pricing, and identifying quality installation partners across the country.  

  • Leads installation bid process including Request for Proposal (RFP), bidder development, prequalification and evaluation.  

  • Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications on large, and complex projects to determine overall project installation scope  

  • Identify, develop and deploy process improvement initiatives through cross-functional team collaboration 

  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure entirety of scope is captured within installation proposals. 

  • Conduct customer site walks to ensure projects remain in adherence with regulatory requirements and our installation partners are compliant with project specifications. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

  • Travel: 30% 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 3 years of experience estimating in healthcare construction, IT healthcare low-voltage industry or similar is preferred. 

  • 2+ years of on-site healthcare construction experience is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of different construction methods; planning, scheduling, sequencing, quality, safety, and timelines. 

  • Extensive knowledge of key principles involved in bid preparation, including quantity of takeoff procedures and systems, subtrade partner procurement, pricing, interdepartmental functions, general expense philosophy and bid-closing procedures. 

  • Understanding contractor compensation models, market conditions, business trends, internal historical information, and competitors to develop win strategies. 

  • Experience estimating multiple scopes, with the capability of building conceptual estimates. 

  • Ability to document processes, create work instructions, and maintain internal and external documentation.  

  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including the ability to solicit subcontractors and suppliers. 

  • Ability to triage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects. 

  • Understanding big picture strategy, while maintaining attention to detail. 

  • Working knowledge of estimating software, advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and a strong aptitude for adopting new technology. 

  • Excellent at managing multiple priorities and responding to emails quickly. 

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage workload accordingly through prioritization, possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Possess excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Knowledge of IT networks, servers, and infrastructure is a plus. 

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $96,000 to $132,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
