The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing overall projects of medium to large scope or a significant subsection of a large scale project. The Sr. Project Manager provides leadership to cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for new product development, commercialization of new products and sustaining of existing products.   This position is responsible for managing resources to insure that projects meet milestones and deliverables.  The Sr. Project Manager represents the core team to the organization, reports team progress, project recommendations, and resolution of issues.

Primary Activities

  • Develops detailed plans in alignment with strategic objectives of the project including master schedules, budgets, project milestones, and key project tasks and deliverables.

  • Provides guidance and direction to core team as necessary to define clear goals and to evaluate progress.

  • Identifies and assists in clearing barriers to effective progress.

  • Resolves project resource issues and facilitates reallocation of activities and efforts to insure schedules are achieved.

  • Conducts financial evaluation of projects.

  • Facilitates all core team meetings and tracks progress against the project plan.

  • Complies with US FDA regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes and task assignments.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors and vendors.

  • Provides guidance and direction to less experienced project managers.

Location & Travel Requirements

  • This is primarily a remote role; office will be home based.

  • This position may require business travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading broad, multi-disciplinary teams, preferably in a medical device industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant scale projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex business and technical aspects of medium to large scale development projects.

  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.

  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Advanced verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including presenting to senior management.

  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.

Pay Transparency

  • A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
