Detailed Description

IT Project Management using PMI best practices for large, complex private and public sector technology projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Initiate internal and external kick-off of projects
    • Request resources and identify the stakeholders and decision makers for all assigned projects
    • Effectively comprehend and manage to the statement of work (SOW)
  • Evaluates timeline requirements to identify and track critical milestones throughout the project lifecycle
    • Identify & obtain required internal engineering & technician resources
    • Initiates internal and external kickoff calls, in addition to leading weekly project status calls as needed
    • Documents all project status, meeting notes, project metrics and budget financials
    • Creates & utilizes MS Project plans
    • Coordinates project hardware and software orders related to projects
    • Creates & manages communication matrix, issue & risk management, and change management logs
    • Drives project communication with all project team members (internal & external)
    • Coordinates all scheduled tasks required for completing the project successfully
    • Maintains & manages external-facing client project portal(s)
    • Manages project budgets
    • Manages all project closure activities, not limited to closure meetings, post mortems and follow up surveys
    Skills and Experience:
    • 7+ years of Information Technology Project Management experience working within a VAR as a Senior Project Manager
    • PMP certified or willing to pass the PMP Certification within 18 months of being hired
    • MS Suite experience (MS Project, Excel, Word, One Note, Power Point, etc…)
    • Knowledge of Netsync technology deployment types:
      • Enterprise Networking
      • Wireless
      • Collaboration
      • Data Center
      • Physical Security
      • AV Installation and Integration
      • Managed Services
      • Service Provider
      • WAN and Optical
      • Cloud
    • Strong communication, analytical, technical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills
    • VAR Project Management experience
    • Healthcare / Hospital Project Management experience
    • SDWAN
    • Network Refresh or Deployment
    Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Education Requirements:
    • 4-year college degree, preferably in a business or technology field; or
    • Equivalent Senior project management experience
