This role is central to advancing the enterprise’s wartime preparedness posture, requiring a leader who can apply military strategic planning principles and operational readiness disciplines to business continuity and enterprise resiliency in an evolving threat environment.

The successful candidate will be a builder, integrator, and execution leader who thrives in an emerging environment, creates structure from ambiguity, connects capabilities and organizations across the enterprise, and translates strategic vision into an executable resiliency framework. Ideal candidates will bring experience in military strategic planning, operational readiness, defense mobilization planning, or similar disciplines, with the ability to translate those principles into an Enterprise Business Resiliency framework.

The Senior Project Manager will serve as a key partner in developing the overarching operating model, governance, integrated roadmap, business rhythms, performance framework, and cross-functional integration necessary to establish an enduring enterprise resiliency capability.

The role will initially operate through a highly matrixed model, partnering with existing capability owners, functional leaders, Business Areas, and enterprise stakeholders to define how capabilities integrate and collectively support Enterprise Business Resiliency objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Business Resiliency to translate the enterprise resiliency vision and strategy into an executable project roadmap
  • Help establish the overarching operating model, governance structure, decision framework, roles and interfaces, business rhythms, and performance framework for Enterprise Business Resiliency
  • Coordinate across existing enterprise capabilities and functional stakeholders to establish an integrated approach to resiliency planning, preparedness, response and recovery
  • Develop and manage an integrated master plan encompassing capability development, organizational milestones, dependencies, risks, resources, and executive decision points
  • Create repeatable frameworks, standards, playbooks, and processes that enable consistent resiliency execution across the enterprise
  • Establish common standards, tiering definitions, activation criteria, escalation paths, decision trees, and response and recovery frameworks
  • Define data, information, and decision-support requirements necessary to improve enterprise operational awareness and resiliency
  • Identify capability gaps and develop prioritized recommendations for organizational, technology, data, staffing, and investment decisions.
  • Lead scenario planning, tabletop exercises, prototyping, and war-gaming to validate governance, decision frameworks, and enterprise readiness
  • Establish mechanisms to measure resiliency maturity, readiness, performance, and continuous improvement

This virtual position should be in close proximity to any domestic Lockheed Martin facility.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex programs or enterprise-level initiatives involving multiple organizations, functions, or stakeholder groups.
  • Experience developing and implementing operating models, governance structures, integrated plans, processes, and/or performance management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through a matrixed environment, influencing outcomes across organizations without direct authority over participating resources.
  • Experience translating strategic objectives into executable plans, milestones, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and managing cross-functional dependencies, risks, issues, and organizational interfaces.
  • Experience facilitating senior-level working groups, decision forums, planning sessions, or executive reviews.
