Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) to work for our PMCM group on various rail/transit projects.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide CPM schedule management for capital program, including design, construction, and design-build projects.

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and review schedule submissions and CPM requirements.

  • Prepare, review, and issue baseline schedule analyses, comments, recommendations, and reports.

  • Facilitate planning sessions with project teams and stakeholders to define work packages, tasks, and execution logic.

  • Develop, maintain, and update project and program schedules throughout all project phases.

  • Perform detailed reviews of baseline and monthly schedules, including logic ties, activity durations, sequencing, phasing, resources, cost curves, and resource histograms.

  • Produce monthly CPM reports including schedule comparisons, Critical/Float Path analysis, Earned Value analysis, and time delay/root cause assessments.

  • Attend design, construction, progress, and schedule meetings and conduct periodic field visits.

  • Review change order frag-nets, perform delay claims and Time Impact Analyses, and recommend recovery and mitigation strategies.

  • Develop scenario, recovery, and mitigation schedules; support risk analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and scheduling training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, transportation, construction or project management. A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience including a minimum of five (5) years in management, supervisory role, or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization.

  • Proficient in Oracle-Primavera P6 Cloud and MS Project.

  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project scheduling and CPM techniques.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and standards.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering principles.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Strong project management and coordination skills with adherence to scope budget and schedule.

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of products such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience with the design and construction in a railroad environment is preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of Power BI is preferred but not required.

  • Project Management Institute (“PMI”) Scheduling Professional (“PMI-SP”), and Project Management Professional (“PMP”) certifications are preferred but not required.

  • Candidates selected for interviews shall bring samples of work to demonstrate knowledge of scheduling analysis and writing ability

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $117,300- $176,400 annually for this position and local market.
