PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Program Manager, you will oversee complex projects from initiation to completion. Your role involves planning, coordination of resources, risk management, and effective communication with stakeholders to deliver solutions to our Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Government client. This senior role involves leading strategic initiatives, managing complex projects, providing expert guidance, and driving organizational change.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
• Takes projects from the original concept through final implementation.
• Defines project scope and objectives.
• Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
• Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
• Provides technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
• Monitor project budgets and financial resources.
• Hire staff and optimize resource utilization and allocation.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across all areas affected by the project.
• Ensure consistent application of standards.
• Serve as the primary advisor to executive leadership on all matters related to the program.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, advocacy groups, and vendors.
• Develop and deliver advanced training programs for staff on product use and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Responsible for overall contract execution
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that promotes accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Regularly report on status, risks, and progress to senior management.
• Develop, update, and enforce organizational policies and procedures.
• Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organizational policies are up to date.
• Prepare detailed reports, including compliance metrics, audit findings, and corrective action plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of activities, training sessions, and policy updates.
• Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with industry experts and participate in professional forums to stay abreast of new developments and technology.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is preferred
• 8 years of relevant experience; Degrees may be substituted for 4 years of experience
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
• Expert knowledge of CBP standards and guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
