3Pillar is an AI transformation partner on a mission to help enterprises build the AI-native products and intelligent agents that will define the next era of business. With teams across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, we work with the most ambitious companies in financial services, healthcare, media, and technology — helping them move faster, modernize boldly, and compete on their own terms. Our HelixAI platform and Helix Pods delivery model put our engineers at the center of real agentic transformation — doing work that is open, portable, and built to last. We are building the future of enterprise AI.
You are equally effective translating from a 3Pillar PM and from a client PM or Product Owner, and you know how to navigate the nuances of each. You bring craft and rigor to everything in the backlog — and you help raise the bar for other POs on the engagement.
At 3Pillar, Delivery Leads own the client relationship. Your domain is execution quality: a well-groomed backlog, stories the team trusts, and a delivery rhythm that doesn't stall waiting on product clarity.
This is a senior role by 3Pillar standards — we expect more experience and consulting depth than a typical industry "Senior PO" posting.
Key Responsibilities
Own the backlog and story quality for a complex engagement — often spanning multiple engineering tracks or workstreams
Translate product strategy and roadmap from a 3Pillar PM or client PM into epics, stories, and acceptance criteria with a high degree of independence
Navigate ambiguity confidently: identify gaps in requirements, drive the right conversations to resolve them, and make well-reasoned decisions when direction is incomplete
Lead and facilitate backlog refinement sessions; ensure the team is never blocked waiting on story clarity
Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies as a senior, prepared contributor — and help shape ceremony effectiveness
Mentor and guide POs on the engagement; review their stories, raise the quality bar, and invest in their development
Partner with UX to ensure research findings and design decisions are translated faithfully and completely into the backlog
Communicate backlog health, scope risks, and delivery signals clearly to the PM and Delivery Lead
Champion AI-forward backlog practices — model effective use of AI in story writing, acceptance criteria, and requirements analysis; help the team adopt these habits
Contribute product context in client-facing sessions when needed — credible and clear on scope, requirements, and trade-offs
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst on software delivery teams — intentionally senior-weighted relative to industry norms, reflecting the autonomy and complexity we expect at this level
4+ years in a consulting, professional services, or agency environment
Proven track record of owning complex backlogs across multi-team or multi-track engagements
Experienced working from both internal PM direction and direct client PM/PO direction
Strong Agile/Scrum practitioner; understands how backlog quality drives delivery outcomes
Highly autonomous — identifies and resolves requirements gaps without waiting to be directed
Skilled at working alongside client PMs and POs: can take direction, push back constructively when needed, and build productive working relationships
Credible in client-facing product conversations: clear on scope, requirements, and trade-offs
Strong written communication; produces documentation that engineering, QA, and stakeholders can rely on
Effective across globally distributed, cross-cultural teams
Uses AI tools as a standard, established part of the PO workflow — not as an experiment
Coaches and models AI-forward backlog and documentation practices for the broader team
Uses AI to accelerate requirements analysis, edge case identification, acceptance criteria drafting, and sprint prep
Evaluates AI outputs critically and helps others do the same
Has written stories for products with AI/ML features — understands the backlog and acceptance criteria challenges that non-deterministic features introduce
Familiar with how AI product capabilities (recommendations, NLP, generative features) affect requirements definition and testing strategy
