Senior Product Marketing Manager, AI Inference

WEKA is the AI data and memory infrastructure company transforming how organizations build, run, and scale AI. NeuralMesh™ combines high-performance data storage and extended GPU memory in a single software platform, providing a foundation for training, inference, and agentic AI workloads that maximizes GPU productivity, accelerates AI outcomes, and improves the economics of AI at scale.

WEKA is a pre-IPO, growth-stage company backed by world-class venture capital investors and AI infrastructure leaders. Our technology is trusted by 30% of the Fortune 50, as well as leading hyperscalers, neoclouds, AI builders, and research organizations. Our team is customer-obsessed, accountable, bold, and collaborative, with a shared focus on helping customers succeed. If we sound like your kind of people, join us!

About The Role

WEKA is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help define and build our AI inference business, one of the fastest-moving and most consequential markets in technology. You'll own WEKA's inference proposition for the organizations that run inference at scale, including the AI clouds and service providers that deliver it to others.

This is an early-stage product marketing role focused on a market, not a single product. You'll define how WEKA wins in inference across the full NeuralMesh portfolio. That starts with Augmented Memory Grid, which extends GPU memory and changes the economics of serving models at scale, and extends to NeuralMesh Axon, model-weight loading and checkpointing, and agentic data services. You'll help decide where WEKA should focus, who we build for, and what makes us different by discovering what customers need, testing positioning in the market, and turning what works into proof and a go-to-market motion that can scale.

Reporting to the VP of Product Marketing, you'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Alliances, and Marketing, and alongside WEKA's Platform, Technical, Partner, Compete, and Industry product marketers. You'll also work directly with the early customers and design partners who run inference at scale: AI-native companies and model builders, enterprises putting AI into production, and the AI clouds and service providers that deliver inference to others.

Who We're Looking For

You're a product marketer who loves the early stage. You'd rather help shape a new market proposition and find the path to scale than optimize a playbook that's already working. You combine strong product marketing fundamentals with the technical depth to understand how inference really works: serving frameworks, KV cache, GPU memory hierarchies, time-to-first-token, multitenant GPU infrastructure, and the tradeoffs that set cost per token. You can go deep with an ML infrastructure engineer in the morning and build an economic argument for a CFO in the afternoon.

You're a builder who is comfortable with a blank page and an evolving answer. You treat positioning, segments, and use cases as hypotheses to test, not conclusions to defend, and you change direction quickly when the evidence says to. You're an excellent writer and storyteller who can turn an early customer result into proof, and you'd rather show specific numbers and named customers than make broad claims.

You also know that positioning only matters if it helps find and win the right customers. You stay close to customers, Product, and the market, and you watch how inference architectures, buyers, competitors, and budgets are changing. You measure success by early customer impact and by building the repeatable motion that follows.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Inference Positioning & Messaging: Define WEKA's positioning, messaging, value propositions, priority use cases, and competitive differentiation for AI inference across the portfolio. Treat them as hypotheses at first, and sharpen them into one differentiated proposition as patterns emerge.
  • AI Cloud & Service Provider Proposition: With Partner PMM, own the core proposition for AI clouds and cloud providers that serve inference. This includes multitenancy, Kubernetes-based operations, and the cross-cloud capabilities that make WEKA the storage standard for the category. You own the capability story that spans many clouds; Partner PMM leads joint propositions built with a named cloud partner.
  • Design Partners & Early Customers: Work with Product and Sales to find, recruit, and support design partners and early adopters, and learn from every engagement.
  • Inference Economics: Define and quantify WEKA’s economic value across GPU utilization, time-to-first-token, throughput, concurrency, tokens per GPU, and cost per token. Build the economic case customers need to justify investment.
  • Proof & Evidence: Partner with Technical Marketing, Engineering, and early customers to turn benchmarks and first production deployments into credible proof.
  • Shape the Product: Act as a strategic partner to Product in building the product that will win in AI inference. Bring customer and market evidence into decisions about which inference bets to pursue, what to build, and for whom.
  • Test, Launch, and Learn: Lead product marketing for new inference capabilities, integrations, and solutions. Test positioning, segments, use cases, and packaging with customers and the field, and use each launch to build market presence and sharpen the story.
  • Create High-Impact Content: Personally develop inference content including blogs, web pages, solution briefs, presentations, and customer stories that bring the story to life.
  • Build the Path to Scale: As winning patterns emerge, turn them into repeatable sales plays, discovery guides, objection handling, and enablement that help Sales, Solutions Engineering, and partners win.
  • Be an External Voice: Represent WEKA's inference story with customers, analysts, press, and industry audiences through briefings, events, and thought leadership.
  • Measure Impact: Track early signals of product-market fit, including a validated ideal customer profile, design partner engagement, lighthouse customers in production, and win rates in target segments. Build toward pipeline and revenue contribution.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, solution marketing, or a closely related role in enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a new product, category, market proposition, or business from early stage to traction, at a startup or as a new venture inside a larger company.
  • Strong product marketing fundamentals across customer discovery, positioning and messaging, content development, launches, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Working knowledge of AI inference and the infrastructure behind it, including accelerated computing, model serving, GPU memory, data infrastructure, and the performance and cost dynamics of running models in production.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand infrastructure architectures, benchmarks, and product capabilities, then translate them into clear customer value for technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build quantified economic value arguments such as TCO, ROI, or cost-per-unit models, and defend them with technical and executive audiences.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience personally creating high-quality content such as solution briefs, presentations, web content, blogs, whitepapers, sales tools, or similar assets.
  • Proven ability to work directly with product managers, engineers, sales teams, and customers, and turn input from multiple stakeholders into a clear point of view and high-quality deliverables.
  • Experience marketing to AI-native companies, ML/AI platform teams, cloud or service providers, or enterprise infrastructure buyers is a strong plus.
  • Ability to operate effectively as a senior individual contributor, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and moving quickly from idea to finished work.
  • Strong, evidence-driven business judgment, with the ability to prioritize the work most likely to validate the market and drive early traction.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by a market and product strategy that can evolve quickly as WEKA learns.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Located in North America with the ability to travel up to 25%.
