This role requires a visionary leader with a strong technical understanding, proven experience in two-sided marketplace product management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions. The Sr. Product Manager will lead all phases of the product lifecycle, from inception to introduction and ongoing management, ensuring the supply-side platform meets the evolving needs of our supply operators and the business. This role will be instrumental in maturing our supply-side platform capabilities and tool set, fostering innovation, and ensuring that our products and services are built on a strong, reliable, and future-proof foundation.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and communicate the supply-side platform vision and strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives and customer needs. This includes maintaining a clear and comprehensive platform roadmap for the short and long term, supporting the supply-side of Storable’s marketplace properties (Sparefoot.com. Storage.com, and Selfstorage.com).
  • Lead all phases of the platform product lifecycle, from conception and development to launch and ongoing management, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Adopt a “general manager” mindset and drive the business forward.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, technology solutions, and dependencies to define best-in-class platform experiences, including those in bid automation and optimization, online rentals and move-in, pricing, yield and occupancy strategies, optimization, matching, and financial reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and business development, to understand key objectives and drive alignment on the platform roadmap and priorities.
  • Represent the customer by building strong relationships, gathering feedback, and bringing the customer's voice into the platform development process.
  • Make prioritization decisions for platform features and initiatives based on customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and resource constraints.
  • Spend considerable time looking at customer behavior metrics from our tools and comparable experiences elsewhere. You will use that insight to validate the right direction for the product.
  • Conduct market research and stay up to speed on the two-sided marketplace industry to identify new products and potential revenue streams.
  • In collaboration with Product Operation resources, ensure smooth rollout with maximum transparency across the organization
  • Communicate company-wide why you are making certain improvements, what you hope to learn from them, and how they fit into your overall strategy.
  • Provide regular updates on projected milestones, progress, and results.
  • Work closely with a product owner to identify opportunities and build a roadmap that strikes the right balance between business and customer value.
  • Objectively measure and broadly communicate the impact of the strategic bets and delivered work.

What you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years in direct product management experience, ideally focused on two-sided marketplaces.
  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle, preferably for complex technology platforms.
  • Strong business and technical acumen with the ability to go from conception to market.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching successful platform products.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written), with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in managing product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and making strategic trade-offs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
