General Motors pioneers the innovations that move and connect people to what matters. We see a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion. As we move toward this vision, software plays an integral role as it becomes more prominent in our vehicles.
Our ambition in Software & Services Product Management is to build a world-class software development culture that is part of the company's shared vision. We are creating an elite portfolio of software-defined vehicles by tightly integrating software, hardware, and services to create complete and compelling vehicle experiences for our customers.
The Role
As Product Manager for In-Vehicle Customer Profile and Identity Integration, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of features that enable customers to be recognized, authenticated, and delighted every time they enter a GM vehicle. You will work across mobile, web, and in-vehicle platforms to deliver intuitive profile recognition, secure sign-in, and personalized experiences that travel with the customer-vehicle to vehicle.
You'll be expected to drive alignment across cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity and Product, to build an in-vehicle identity and profile experience that enables personalization. A strong systems-thinking mindset, user empathy, and a drive to simplify complex problems will be key to your success.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, understands vehicle development, and is comfortable setting long-term vision while also delivering incremental value in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
What You'll Do

  • Drive the development of connected profiles that sync across vehicles and platforms, leveraging GM Cloud and digital key technologies.
  • Partner with the Account & Identity and Setup teams to integrate sign-in, account linking, and profile onboarding flows into vehicle UI.
  • Leverage Design Thinking methodologies to collaborate with design and research to deliver intuitive experiences that reduce friction and increase engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards while enabling personalization at scale.
  • Define and track KPIs such as profile recognition, success rate, personalization recall accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and advocate for seamless identity experiences across all GM digital touchpoints.
  • Actively monitor emerging trends, incorporate data, research, and market analysis to inform, define, prioritize, and drive execution of product roadmap.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in automotive, identity, or consumer tech.
  • Strong understanding of the vehicle development process and software integration.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to work closely with engineering on complex platform architecture specifically in the identity and vehicle domain.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to craft clear narratives and influence at all levels.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience with Android Automotive, embedded systems, or infotainment platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud-based identity architectures that span multiple devices and surfaces.
  • Experience working with Design Thinking methodologies
  • Master's degree in related field
