As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping exceptional user experiences for AI-driven knowledge systems at Atlassian. Your primary focus will be on building intuitive, innovative, and industry-leading solutions from the ground up (0-to-1), particularly emphasizing mobile applications and UX-centric products. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, researchers, engineers, and data scientists to create user experiences that set new standards in usability, delight, and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
UX Strategy and Roadmap:
  • Define and champion a user-centered product vision and roadmap focused on delivering innovative, intuitive, and delightful user experiences.
  • Partner closely with UX designers and researchers to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and expectations to drive UX excellence.

Product Development & UX Innovation:
  • Lead the end-to-end development of user-centric mobile and web applications, ensuring every feature enhances the overall user experience.
  • Drive UX innovation by exploring cutting-edge design practices, rapid prototyping, and user-testing methodologies to refine and validate new product ideas.

Cross-Functional UX Leadership:
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across design, engineering, research, and product marketing teams, ensuring UX priorities are well-integrated and delivered consistently.
  • Advocate for UX best practices, fostering a culture of user-centered thinking and continual improvement across the product organization.

Personalization and User Engagement:
  • Leverage advanced analytics, user behavior insights, and personalization strategies to enhance the relevance, intuitiveness, and overall appeal of AI-driven experiences.
  • Develop and measure key UX metrics to continuously monitor, evaluate, and optimize user satisfaction, engagement, and adoption.

Scalable and Impactful UX Solutions:
  • Ensure UX solutions are scalable and performant, maintaining a balance between innovative user experiences and technical feasibility.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for third-party integrations to expand the functionality and richness of user interactions.

User Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
  • Actively manage and improve critical user experiences, such as search, discovery, navigation, and interaction flows, using iterative design and feedback cycles.
  • Systematically collect, analyze, and incorporate user feedback and usability findings to drive continual UX improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on UX-driven mobile or web application development.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating industry-leading UX solutions from concept to launch, particularly in mobile apps.
  • Proven track record of delivering intuitive, user-centered experiences and effectively managing cross-functional UX-focused teams.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, methodologies, and best practices, including user research, prototyping, usability testing, and interaction design.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and a strong ability to use data-driven insights to optimize user experiences.
  • Ability to translate complex UX challenges into clear, actionable product strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Experience influencing without authority and leading cross-functional initiatives centered on UX excellence.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MFA, PhD) or certifications in UX/UI are a plus.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $164,700 - $215,025
Zone B: $148,500 - $193,875
Zone C: $136,800 - $178,600
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
