Hungryroot is using AI to build the most consumer-centric food and wellness company to ever exist. We act as your personal assistant for healthy living—getting to know your goals, lifestyle, and budget, and recommending and delivering healthy groceries, easy recipes, and essential supplements for you and your family.

It’s the easiest way to eat healthy, achieve your goals, save time, and discover new foods. We believe food is the foundation of health, convenience should not mean compromise, and that everyone is unique in how they eat and live. That’s why we’re building a future in which healthy living is both easy and enjoyable.

Hungryroot is a distributed team of top talent across 28+ U.S. states. While we have a headquarters in New York City, our remote-first culture emphasizes collaboration, team-building, and flexibility. About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager, Recommendations  to join our growing Product team. Product Managers drive product optimizations and features, from independently run experiments to major product decisions. Backed by strong analytical skills and business acumen, and inspired both by our loyal community, our PMs develop insights that lead to new ideas and work with our best in class engineering, data science and operations teams to build Hungryroot’s next beloved feature.

This role will report to our Director of Product and will embolden our mission to serve as our customers’ personal assistant for healthy living, helping them feel better on a daily basis and have more time to do what they love. A natural extension of our current focus is to better support the full spectrum of our customers’ wellness goals: nutrition, fitness, sleep, mental, emotional, social, and environmental. In doing so, we will become more deeply integrated into our customers’ lives, and we’ll generate a self-reinforcing flywheel that builds continuous momentum and enhances customer value.

It’s a big mission, and even though we've made a lot of headway, we still have work to do — and that’s where you come in!

Responsibilities

  • Drive product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
  • Establish a clear product vision and strategy that empowers customers with confidence in our Recommendations by ensuring transparency and trust, while seamlessly collecting the right inputs at the right moments to personalize their experience.
  • Build alignment across all cross-functional stakeholders and leadership team
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas
  • Partner with product designers to ensure delightful user experience
  • Work with engineers to help guide feature development
  • Perform experiment analysis on features and find opportunities for optimization

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Product Management for B2C/E-Commerce
  • Experience leading the end to end product lifecycle for large and complex initiatives
  • An instinct for creating simple, intuitive & engaging user experiences
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and customer-centric mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful, curious, innovative and proactive
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to think creatively, take calculated risks, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence different levels of the organization in a remote setting
  • Desire to make healthy living easier through technology, food and personalization
  • Excitement about using AI and ML to deliver best in class product experiences

Perks & Benefits

  • Remote-first: work from home, work from our NYC office, work from anywhere in the U.S. - you decide!
  • Equity
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Universal paid parental leave
  • Monthly Hungryroot credit for delicious, healthy groceries
  • Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Wellbeing benefits including One Medical, Spring Health, LiveHealth, Rightway care concierge, and more
  • 401k with match
