The Senior Product Manager will own NetBox Cloud, oversee the SaaS product roadmap, manage user experience, and engage in product discovery while collaborating with engineering and design teams.
The summary above was generated by AI

At NetBox Labs, our mission is to make it easier to build and manage complex networks. As a product company, we do that by developing innovative software for network professionals delivered on-premises and in the cloud.

NetBox is the industry-leading open-source platform for network infrastructure management — the source of truth for how networks are designed, documented, and automated. NetBox Labs builds and maintains NetBox and delivers it as a managed cloud service, NetBox Cloud.

We are a small, technical team building products for network engineers at some of the world’s most complex organizations. We operate in a high trust, high performance environment — you can expect others to meet commitments, and you will be expected to meet yours. We are still building the playbook. If the absence of process is an opportunity to set the standard, you will thrive here.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own NetBox Cloud — the SaaS delivery of NetBox Labs — alongside two adjacent product areas: the operational self-service console and a new customer-facing Analytics product. This is not a single-mode role. You will be executing against a defined cloud roadmap, owning the UX of the console experience, and doing early discovery work to define what Analytics actually is all in parallel. This is a role for someone who moves work forward without waiting for direction, and who can build structure where none exists.

What makes this role different

NetBox has a large, active open-source community. The cloud product exists in the context of an OSS project that engineers already trust. Your job is not to convince them NetBox is worth using — it is to make NetBox Cloud the obvious way to run it. That is a different product problem, and a more interesting one.

What You Will Own

On NetBox Cloud, you will own the end-to-end roadmap for our managed SaaS product: multi-tenant delivery, instance provisioning, upgrade management, and the reliability and operational experience that enterprise buyers evaluate. You will develop a written, defensible point of view on what we are building and what we are not — synthesizing signals from customers, support, sales.

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of product management experience

  • Experience at both startup and large environments — you have seen what good looks like at scale and can operate without established process

  • Strong track record of building products from inception out to market — defining the problem, shaping the solution, and seeing it through to customer adoption.

  • Comfortable doing early-stage discovery and definition work alongside execution — you operate in both modes simultaneously

  • Experience in developer tools, infrastructure software, or technical SaaS platforms with technical buyers

  • Skilled at partnering with engineering on scoping, sequencing, and delivery. Identifying process gaps and bringing proposals for change.

  • Ability to engage directly with customers and prospects — in discovery, in pre-sales, and in feedback loops

  • Ability to drive alignment across engineering, design, and GTM without positional authority — you move work forward, you do not wait for consensus

  • Strong written communication — your docs are clear, opinionated, and do not require editing

Bonus

  • Experience at a hyper-growth startup — you have operated at speed, made bets with incomplete information, and built processes that scaled

  • Familiarity with OSS-to-cloud product dynamics — you understand why users adopt open-source and what it takes to convert them to a paid cloud offering

  • Experience with packaging and pricing for B2B software products

Our culture and values:
  • We own and solve problems with high attention to detail.

  • Our open source contributors, users, customers & team are all part of our community. When our community wins, we win.

  • We prioritize simplicity and think twice before adding complexity

  • Clear communication helps keep our team aligned and collaborating smoothly.
