SUMMARY:
We are searching for a seasoned Senior Product Manager to lead our consumer mobile app products. Our mobile apps are integral to the Owlet experience, with caregivers relying on them daily to monitor their babies’ health and sleep. This role will also play a critical part in scaling Owlet globally, ensuring our apps deliver a consistent, compliant, and delightful experience across regions, languages, and regulatory environments.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail-oriented, with the ability to set a long-term vision while collaborating closely to deliver delightful and impactful user experiences. You are data-driven, customer-obsessed, and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional global consumer mobile apps and hardware or IoT products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of vision, product strategy, roadmap, execution, and iteration for Owlet’s mobile apps
- Craft detailed requirements, user stories, and product specifications in collaboration with design and engineering
- Drive the development of a globally scalable app experience, ensuring support for multiple regions, languages, and compliance requirements
- Deeply understand and engage with our customers to track the voice of the customer and inform product strategy
- Define and track key metrics tied to business outcomes, and report on the performance of your product area
- Balance and prioritize new features with existing backlog initiatives and align them with the product vision
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to define scope, review technical capabilities, confirm regulatory and legal compliance, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities
- Conduct user research and experiments to continuously iterate and improve our experience
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Product Management, with a track record in shipping high quality, delightful consumer mobile apps and hardware or IoT products
- Demonstrated success in building products that turn large complex data sets into easy to understand and valuable product features
- Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and roadmap for large scale consumer products
- Demonstrated ability to break down and solve complex problems through applying user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions
- Experience designing and analyzing experiments to drive product decisions
- An ability to manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way - Balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you
- Experience working on products at a global scale, and understanding the data, legal, technical and regulatory nuances of supporting complex products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to diverse non-technical audiences
- Deep user empathy and a high bar for user experience
- Bonus - Experience in the baby category or with medical devices
