HighRes is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Liquid Handling to join our Product Management Team.

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of liquid handling and dispensing products serving the life sciences market. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep expertise in liquid handling technologies and laboratory workflows with strong business acumen, market understanding, and product management discipline.
The ideal candidate understands not only how liquid handling systems and dispensers are designed, but also how they are actually used in laboratory environments across pharma, biotech, and broader life sciences applications. This person will work cross-functionally with engineering, applications, commercial, and customer-facing teams to define differentiated products that solve real workflow challenges and create business value.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for liquid handling and dispensing products including identifying unmet market needs, new concept development, product positioning and developing associated business cases to execute against
- Serve as the subject matter expert for liquid handling workflows, application requirements, and customer use cases to ensure customer success
- Gather and synthesize voice-of-customer insights from scientists, automation engineers, lab managers, commercial teams, and strategic partners
- Partner with engineering and applications teams to make effective tradeoff decisions across performance, usability, reliability, integration, cost, and timeline
- Conduct competitive analysis and track relevant market, technology, and customer trends in life sciences and lab automation
- Support product launches through positioning, messaging, training, and go-to-market collaboration with marketing and sales
- Drive alignment across internal stakeholders and help connect technical product details to broader customer and business value
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, applications, engineering, or a related role in life sciences instrumentation, lab automation, or liquid handling
- Demonstrated expertise in liquid handlers and dispensers in a related environment
- Experience working with customers or internal teams in pharma, biotech, CRO, academic, or other life sciences environments
- Strong business and commercial judgment, including experience evaluating markets, customer segments, competitive positioning, and product value propositions
- Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of liquid handling and dispensing including applicable use, performance criteria and market knowledge
- Familiarity with laboratory workflow areas such as drug discovery, genomics, sample prep, assay development, cell biology, synthetic biology, screening, PCR/qPCR, ELISA, or compound management
- Experience with automated work cells, device integration, robotic workflows, or lab automation software environments
- Experience building business cases and supporting product launches for capital equipment, consumables, or integrated workflow solutions
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant scientific or technical field
