This work enables educators and students to benefit from reliable, real-time insights. This role blends technical depth with product leadership, requiring technical comfort with APIs, ETL, and database workflows, in addition to customer empathy and strategic prioritization.

  • Prioritize integrations between core education systems (SIS, LMS, etc.) and MagicSchool products, given new feature opportunities and customer needs.

  • Partner with engineering on strategies to deliver reliable, scalable and innovative solutions for data ingestion (APIs, SMTP dump, etc), ensuring accuracy and usability.

  • Define and monitor metrics for data reliability, latency, and coverage to improve user confidence in our AI tools.

  • Troubleshoot and root cause connectivity issues, collaborating with engineers to identify tradeoffs and long-term solutions.

  • Ensure that user data flows into downstream systems in a way that unlocks AI-driven insights and features.

Experience & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of data and API product management experience, with demonstrated work in technical domains.

  • Comfort with APIs, data pipelines, ETL, and database management; ability to partner deeply with engineer colleagues.

  • Track record of evaluating complex technical problems with pragmatic product solutions and thoughtful tradeoffs.

  • Strong prioritization and execution skills in fast-paced, startup environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills; able to communicate with engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Hands-on comfort with SQL, ability to perform data queries, and use analytics to make decisions.

  • Nice to have:

    • Technical experience with data pipelines

    • SaaS product management experience

    • Experience with K–12 or education integrations is a plus but not required.
