As a Senior Product Manager for Confluent Intelligence, you will shape the vision for real-time data streaming and AI integration, collaborating closely with leadership and engineering to create innovative products that enhance intelligent systems.
The summary above was generated by AI

We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.

It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.

One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.

About the Role:

AI is changing the nature of software engineering. Systems are becoming adaptive, data-driven, and context-dependent. They’re less about fixed logic and more about continuously learning from the world as it happens. The next generation of software won’t just process requests; it will respond to real-time events, reason over live context, and take informed action.

As a Product Manager on Confluent Intelligence, you’ll help design the products that make this shift possible. Confluent Intelligence brings together streaming, stream processing, and AI to turn data in motion into real-time context fueling the intelligent systems of the future. You’ll define how context is captured, structured, and served so AI can make reliable, grounded decisions.

This is a highly strategic role with company-wide impact and executive-level visibility. You’ll influence the direction of Confluent’s AI strategy, working closely with senior leadership, engineering, and design to bring new capabilities to market that redefine how enterprises build and run intelligent, event-driven systems.

This role sits at the center of a profound transformation in how software is built. You’ll work across Kafka, Flink, and Confluent Cloud to create the foundation for real-time, context-aware AI systems, the kind that power copilots, autonomous workflows, and event-driven agents.

What You Will Do:
  • Shape the vision and roadmap for how Confluent delivers real-time, context-rich data to AI systems.

  • Work with engineering and design to create new primitives for streaming-native AI, covering agents, inference, retrieval, and good ol’ fashion machine learning.

  • Partner with customers to understand how they’re applying AI to live operational data and turn those insights into clear product direction.

  • Prototype and iterate quickly, validating ideas through small, high-impact releases.

  • Validate market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, opportunity, business).

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related technical roles.

  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).

  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership

  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI, LLMs, and agents.

What Gives You an Edge:
  • Experience in data streaming and stream processing, particularly with Kafka and Flink

  • Hands-on AI experience, building applications that use models or training models

  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering

  • Prior experience working on open source projects

Ready to build what's next? Let’s get in motion.
